Lasik Vision Correction across the U.S.

There are many different lasik vision centers that operate multiple locations throughout the United States. LasikPlus, the Laser Vision Institute, and TLC Laser Eye Centers are just a few. While pricing for lasik vision correction surgery will vary from center to center, and region to region, often you can find sales or special promotions, such as $299 or $499 per eye.

Advanced lasik vision correction procedures have been developed for nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. When you meet with your lasik vision correction surgeon, he'll discuss with you the state of your eye health, the type of correction surgery that is best for you, and how much corneal tissue will need to be removed. In my case, I had barely the minimum required corneal depth needed to be able to have the surgery.

Lasik Vision Surgery consultation

When I had my lasik vision surgery, after asking questions of the center, and deciding it was the right provider for me, I underwent the initial examination. This was very similar to a standard eye exam that you would undergo at your optometrist's office. The lasik technician double-checked my prescription, and examined my eyes for any issues.

We then had a discussion about the lasik process, and, after a short wait, I met with my Lasik surgeon. We talked about lasik vision correction, and whether or not I was a candidate for it. Luckily, I was.

Lasik Vision Centers

Most Lasik vision centers are able to supply a variety of lasik procedures that will meet your vision correction needs. When I finally decided to have lasik vision correction, the center that I visited was able to correct my nearsightedness, even though I had several underlying issues with my eye health.

When you are selecting a lasik vision provider, make sure that the center you select uses FDA approved technologies.

Another question you should ask your potention lasik vision center is about the experience of their surgeons. Make sure you are informed not only about the center's experience in general, but specifically request information on the lasik surgeon that will be performing your procedure.
